This is a true to life size, 6"x6"x7", anatomically accurate human skull made from ceramic. Carved upon its surface is a worn gridded pattern that shows symptoms of heavy erosion. This skull represents a kind of symbiosis between the organic build up of calcium in the creation of the skull itself and the ever growing necessity to align ourselves with networks or organization. The grid has become ingrained within our very bone structure. The piece was rake fired with natural iron oxides and wood ash to create the finish. This item is handmade and completely unique.
